Cleanroom Technician - Microelectronics (Starlink)

Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of&nbsp;enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>CLEANROOM TECHNICIAN -&nbsp;MICROELECTRONICS (STARLINK)</strong></p> <p>SpaceX is developing a new generation of low-latency, broadband internet system called Starlink, which is the world’s largest constellation of highly advanced satellites operating in a low orbit around the Earth. As a Microelectronics Technician, you will be joining a small team that supports the production of high-speed RF and optical modules that are instrumental in achieving high-speed internet for the world’s most advanced internet system.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Operate, maintain, and calibrate microelectronics equipment (die bonders, wire bonders, AOI machines, and more) in an ESD-controlled cleanroom environment, emphasizing detail, accuracy, precision, and efficiency.</li> <li>Manufacture high-mix, medium-volume, high-frequency RF products using high-precision tools/processes, semiconductor dies, and automated ball bonding techniques to achieve aggressive production targets.</li> <li>Verify processes using metrology tools (e.g., CSAM, X-ray, 3D profilometers, pull/shear testers, contact angle goniometers) to assess epoxy voids, wirebond loop heights, and pull/shear forces.</li> <li>Work independently in a fast-paced startup environment while managing workflow, safety, organization, inventory, and 5S principles for a clean, sustainable workspace.</li> <li>Communicate via MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP software to coordinate with engineers, specialists, and technicians.</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate.</li> <li><span data-teams="true">2+ years of experience working in a electronics manufacturing OR cleanroom environment<br></span></li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of microelectronics quality standards, including die shear, wire pull, and bond shear per MIL-STD-883 or JEDEC JESD22-B116.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with equipment like die bonders, wire bonders, plasma cleaners, pull/shear testers, AOI systems, optical microscopes, and laser markers.</li> <li>Exceptional attention to detail combined with high efficiency.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and drive to succeed.</li> <li>Superior organizational skills for maintaining tidy workspaces and efficient workflows.</li> <li>Creative problem-solving with eagerness to learn and innovate.</li> <li>1+ years of experience working in a cleanroom electronics manufacturing environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times: <ul> <li>1st shift: 6:00AM – 4:00PM</li> <li>2nd shift: 4:00PM – 2:00AM</li> </ul> </li> <li>Able to wear appropriate PPE for cleanroom environment.</li> <li>Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position.</li> <li>Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:</strong></p> <div>Microelectronics Technician /Level 1: $27.00 - $33.00/hour.</div> <div>Microelectronics Technician /Level 2: $31.00 - $39.00/hour.</div> <div>Microelectronics Technician /Level 3: $36.00 - $45.00/hour.</div> <p>Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary
