Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of&nbsp;enabling human life on Mars.</p></div><p><strong>LEAD SECURITY OFFICER</strong></p> <p>This Lead Security Officer (Spaceport Loss Prevention) is a first-of-its-kind role – a dedicated security professional who leads security strategy, access control and technology mgmt., investigations, loss prevention, physical security, access control, and community-focused security efforts for the residential city of Starbase. This role will require strong leadership, investigative ability, and the capacity to balance security needs within a residential and hospitality-focused community. The role will be a fully integrated member of the Security Organization but work day-to-day with cross-functional partners in Spaceport (residential, hospitality, and leasing).</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES: </strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Security strategy:</strong>&nbsp;Conduct risk assessments and support the development of security policies and emergency response plans</li> <li><strong>Access control and technology management:</strong>&nbsp;Manage access control system, user/group credentialing and strategy, protocols, and monthly audits in conjunction with security technology professionals</li> <li><strong>Investigations:</strong>&nbsp;Lead investigations into breaches, thefts, and security incidents</li> <li><strong>Loss Prevention:</strong>&nbsp;Lead and manage all Loss Prevention activities, including theft deterrence strategy, loss trend analysis, and audits</li> <li><strong>Physical security:</strong>&nbsp;Lead physical security strategy and operations, including camera coverage, shared space patrols, gated entry monitoring, and tailgating prevention</li> <li>Conduct audits of high-risk areas and contractor access</li> <li>Serve as the approachable point of contact for resident security and community relations matters</li> <li>Collaborate with Leasing, Hotel, Events, and Hospitality teams to integrate security with operations</li> <li>Establish and maintain security standards for residents and hotel guests across the city of Starbase</li> <li>Function as liaison with law enforcement, community leaders, and key stakeholders</li> </ul> <p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalency certificate</li> <li>5+ years of experience in loss prevention, corporate security, law enforcement, or physical security</li> </ul> <p><strong>PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or advanced degree</li> <li>Advanced experience with access control systems and key management systems</li> <li>Documented small unit leadership experience</li> <li>Strong investigative and report-writing skills</li> <li>Experience working in an industrial or residential security environment</li> <li>Experience instructing security tactics, operations, and procedures</li> <li>Experience working in residential, hospitality, or mixed-use communities</li> <li>History of critical incident handling experience</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)</li> <li>An intense interest in protecting the future of spaceflight</li> <li>Loss Prevention experience in a hospitality or retail environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Availability to work any schedule needed, to include overtime, nights, weekends and rotating</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 Drone license</li> <li>Position is subject to enhanced pre-employment screening, including a background check, psychological test, bi-annual physical fitness test, and a drug and alcohol test</li> <li>Position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing</li> <li>Ab
