Your important work will help ensure that our clients come first and that our BAYADA caregivers have the support they need to be successful.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to build a consistent, ongoing connection with a patient over time (you control your schedule and can choose whether or not to take on new patient assignments)</li> <li>Reliable and responsive communication with the Volunteer Coordinator, primarily via email</li> <li>Willingness to complete administrative requirements, including timely submission of volunteer hours</li> <li>Comfort interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences</li> <li>Openness to supporting individuals and families navigating the end-of-life&nbsp;</li> <li>Commitment to completing required onboarding and training</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>What You Might Do as a Volunteer</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Offer friendly visits and conversation to provide companionship</li> <li>Read aloud, share stories, or reflect on meaningful life memories together</li> <li>Engage in activities such as music, crafts, TV, puzzles, or games</li> <li>Provide walking companionship (when safe and appropriate)</li> <li>Sit at the bedside, offering a calm and supportive presence</li> <li>Provide short breaks (respite) for caregivers by staying with their loved one</li> <li>Sit vigil and offer comfort during the final stages of life</li> <li>Support legacy or memor
