This individual will support the procurement of construction services and related capital equipment for MEP/FP, civil, structural, architectural, and general construction scopes critical to Starship production, launch infrastructure, and Starbase facility expansion.</span></span><span class="EOP SCXW39191229 BCX0" data-ccp-props="{"335551550":6,"335551620":6}">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute procurement strategies for construction services including general contracting, MEP/FP, civil, structural, architectural, and specialty trades, as well as related capital equipment.</li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Lead the creation of bid packages and manage competitive bidding processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs), including contractor prequalification, pre-bid meetings, site visits, bid evaluations, and award recommendations for construction scopes.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Review and validate engineering designs, construction drawings, scopes of work, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and constructability best practices.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Perform market analysis and develop should-cost models to achieve the best value purchasing deals for construction services, labor, materials, and equipment across diverse Starbase projects.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Create, negotiate, and administer construction contracts and purchase orders in collaboration with the legal department and project stakeholders; manage change orders, claims, and closeout documentation.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Evaluate contractor proposals, bills of materials, and scopes of work for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements and budgets.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication, adherence to contracts, safety and quality standards, schedule performance, and timely resolution of any performance or delivery issues.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Present value propositions to SpaceX management, including those related to contract award, cost reviews, value engineering opportunities, cost reduction strategies, and critical supply issues.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-parastyle="List Bullet"> Identify and execute cost reduction and value engineering projects including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and project updates for construction categories.</span></span></li> <li><span data-contrast="auto"><span data-ccp-p
